Frequently Asked Questions

What's Fleet?
Fleet turns multiple Macs into coordinated infrastructure. Manage VMs across nodes from one place, distribute workloads, and distribute images across machines. Solo is 1 node; Cluster and above add Fleet for up to 5 nodes.
What's Brew?
Brew is CiderStack's CI/CD orchestrator. It provides GitHub Actions self-hosted runner pools, template-based ephemeral VMs, job queuing with concurrency management, and an analytics dashboard. Included with all paid tiers (Cluster and above).
Is commercial use allowed?
Yes. All tiers allow commercial use. Choose based on how many nodes you need to run.
Can I try before I buy?
Yes! Download CiderStack and start a 14-day trial. No credit card required.
Do I own my license forever?
Yes. All licenses are perpetual—pay once, use forever. No subscriptions, no renewals. You'll get all v1.x updates included. Major version upgrades (v2, v3, etc.) may require a paid upgrade at a discounted rate.
What's Apple's 2-VM limit?
Apple's Virtualization.framework only allows 2 macOS VMs to run simultaneously per Mac. This is a platform limitation, not a CiderStack limitation. You can create and store unlimited VMs, but only run 2 at once. Learn more.
